\n\u201cShe\u2019s wasted no time getting around to crowing about her Daytime Emmy nomination for her contrived, critically panned, embarrassing flop.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYou know\u2026 the obviously worthless Emmy that you can apply for yourself. The delusion runs deep with Meghan,\u201d another added.<\/p>\n
\u201cIs this a joke? With Love, Meghan <\/em>was cancelled & had horrible ratings,\u201d a third chimed in.<\/p>\n\u201cHow much does any Emmy nomination cost, because this was clearly bought,\u201d a fourth wrote.<\/p>\n
The author of The Sun<\/em> piece made little effort to conceal the fact that they share the social media commenters\u2019 contempt for Meghan\u2019s show.<\/p>\n\u201cIn some of the show\u2019s more bizarre scenes, Meghan eats a sea urchin\u2019s privates and squeezes her hand up a chicken\u2019s bum,\u201d they wrote after repeatedly referencing the series\u2019 ratings struggles.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s true that Meghan\u2019s show has not been renewed by Netflix<\/a>, but that\u2019s hardly pertinent to the conversation about the nomination, which was based on the quality of the series, not its popularity.<\/p>\nWhy would ratings have any impact on a show\u2019s Emmy chances? Why are so many Brits seething about an American award show?<\/p>\n
It\u2019s best not to think about these questions or the reason why so many Brits are still fixating on Meghan\u2019s every move years after she moved back to America.<\/p>\n
The haters probably don\u2019t give the question much thought themselves, as doing so would force them to confront some very dark truths about themselves.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
