With Jesy adding: \u201cI can tell he\u2019s really struggling. For a 26-year-old to have to now be put in this situation\u2026 I feel like I can see his life flashing before his eyes.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe and Zion announced their split later that month, with Jesy saying in the show: \u201cIt\u2019s hard. It\u2019s just me and mum now.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe also said: \u201cI think we\u2019re both thinking, \u2018how the f*** are we going to do this\u2019, And we will because we have to. We don\u2019t have a choice. It\u2019s really f****** hard.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAfter his quotes caused backlash, Zion took to his Instagram Stories on Wednesday (15.07.26) to set the record straight, as he wrote: \u201cWhen I said I was \u2018out of my depth\u2019, I wasn\u2019t saying I was walking away from my children or abandoning my responsibilities as a father.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI was talking about the overwhelming reality of suddenly facing a rare and complex medical diagnosis that I knew nothing about.<\/p>\n
\n“Being out of my depth meant I was learning. It meant I was trying to understand. It never meant I didn\u2019t love my daughters or that I wasn\u2019t going to be there for them…<\/p>\n
\n“Please don’t mistake vulnerability for abandonment.”<\/p>\n
\nHe added: \u201cI love my girls more than words could ever express. They are my world and always will be.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nZion also addressed the revelation that Jesy was the one to end their relationship, as she said in the show \u201cI decided we would be better off apart\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nZion continued: \u201cAlthough I respect that, it does not change the fact that I remain committed to my daughters in every way I possibly can.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThis journey has been heartbreaking for all of us. Nobody prepares you for news like this, and we\u2019re all navigating it in our own way.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nIn the docuseries, released this Friday (17.07.26), Jesy said her and Zion\u2019s split was \u201cinevitable\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cIt\u2019s a very traumatic thing that we\u2019ve both been through. I think it\u2019s quite inevitable for things like this to happen to couples<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s a shock that we\u2019ve broken up. You\u2019ll either be a team or it\u2019ll tear you apart and unfortunately I feel that\u2019s what it\u2019s done to me and Zion.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nJesy added that \u201cthere\u2019s no bad feeling\u201d between her and Zion, but her \u201cmain priority\u201d is her daughters. <\/p>\n
\nShe continued: \u201cI just want to be the best mum with the best energy and positivity\u00a0possible.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThe house was not like that when we were together. We\u2019re both dealing with this situation completely differently, and together we were clashing.\u201d<\/p>\n
