Ukraine continues to weather a merciless, years-long invasion from Russian forces.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo you have any suspicions or worries; do you think we know the whole story about his death?\u201d Kelly asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo answer the conspiracy theory, I would love to say yes, but I think he had some problems,\u201d Trump began his answer.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-theme=\"dark\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Greg Kelly asks President Trump whether he thinks Russia might have played a role in the death of Sen. Lindsey Graham. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/IxLNsO2QoL\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/IxLNsO2QoL<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 NEWSMAX (@NEWSMAX) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NEWSMAX\/status\/2076845736679911821?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\">July 14, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Trump\u2019s reply said that there were \u201cdeep-seated\u201d health issues behind Graham\u2019s death, rambling that they were \u201cnot easy to find.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As he continued to chatter, he pointed out that Graham\u2019s father had passed away at a similar age.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, Trump characterized Graham\u2019s death by saying that part of the late senator\u2019s body \u201cliterally blew up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also insisted that, hours before Graham\u2019s death, they had spoken on the phone about Trump\u2019s attempt to exert massive federal control over elections, enacting voter suppression in all 50 states.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe wanted to pass the SAVE America Act,\u201d Trump claimed, \u201cand I said, \u2018Well, we\u2019re going to get it done, Lindsey. We\u2019re going to get it done. I\u2019ll see you, like, soon.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Trump calls late Sen. Lindsey Graham a &#039;great friend&#039;\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CVPd0fJQsOI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-now-he-had-one-bad-moment\">\u2018Now he had one bad moment\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>On Monday, July 13, Trump called into <em>Fox &amp; Friends<\/em>, as is his habit, where he shared \u201cpraise\u201d and critiques of the late senator.<\/p>\n<p>He awarded Graham a \u201c99 instead of \u201c100\u201d due to what he called \u201cone bad moment\u201d when Graham, on the floor of the Senate, supported respecting the vote of the American people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow he had one bad moment, and that was you know on the January 6 thing,\u201d Trump complained.<\/p>\n<p>He claimed: \u201cThen he called me like about 40 minutes later, and he said, \u2018Did I really say that? I can\u2019t believe it,\u2019 and he took it back \u2026 so I give him a 99 instead of a 100.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Just to be clear, there are no records of any such conversation. That includes the January 6th Committee\u2019s documentation. As always, one could choose to believe that Trump is telling the truth, but why?<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-conversation=\"none\" data-theme=\"dark\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Donald Trump shared details of his final conversation with Senator Lindsey Graham, saying the two spoke by phone shortly before Graham\u2019s sudden death at the age of 71. He said, \u2018I wish I never said it,\u2019 but about 45 minutes later, he called. He said: \u2018I made a big mistake,&#8217;\u201d Trump insisted.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, there is no evidence to back up Trump\u2019s claim that some of Graham\u2019s final words were to push for Trump\u2019s attempt to exert unprecedented federal control over elections.<\/p>\n<p>Now, Graham was an obsequious creature to the core of his being. It is entirely <em>possible <\/em>that he told Trump exactly what he wanted to hear over the phone.<\/p>\n<p>But given Trump\u2019s history of telling provable lies \u2014 whether they serve his agenda or just make him seem important \u2014 there\u2019s no real reason to believe this.<\/p>\n<p>Being graded on how desperately loyal you were is a hell of a eulogy to get.
