Jimmy Fallon<\/a>, the host read out a post he’d seen on X which read: \u201cErling Haaland had no idea who Tom Holland was when he DM\u2019d him and asked to hang out.<\/p>\n\u201cHe doesn\u2019t watch movies, so he thought he was a random person.\u2019 Now, tell us the truth: did you DM Erling Haaland?\u201d h<\/p>\n

Tom sheepishly replied: \u201cYes. Yes, and I tell you what, that is, that is exactly the type of humbling experience that is important for actors. You know, you\u2019ll be like, \u2018I\u2019ll text him, I\u2019ll take him to dinner,\u2019 not even a response, not an excuse, not \u2018I\u2019m busy tonight, I\u2019m playing football,\u2019 nada.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe Spider-Man star contacted the Manchester City ace after seeing him at the Monaco Grand Prix at the beginning of June.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cI was watching Lewis [Hamilton] race, and I saw him. He was [in] like a hospitality suite across from me, and I just thought I\u2019d shoot my shot. Send him a text.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI never imagined I would talk about it on live television, but here we are.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nTom would still like to hang out with the sportsman, but is unsure how Erling would feel about socialising with him after England beat Norway 2-1 in the World Cup quarter finals over the weekend.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cI don\u2019t think he would have dinner with me after the other day.”<\/p>\n
\nJimmy said: \u201cOh really? Yeah, he\u2019s probably hurting a little bit.”<\/p>\n
\nTom joked: \u201cA little bit, bless him.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nBut the snub hasn’t put Tom off admiring Erling as a player, describing him as “incredible”.<\/p>\n
\nHe added: “I mean, he\u2019s an absolute legend.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nEngland will face Argentina in the semi-finals of the tournament on Wednesday (15.07.26), and the Uncharted actor is feeling optimistic.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cIt feels like something is in the air right now. Sometimes in life, I just get a feeling, and I have that feeling right now, Jimmy.”<\/p>\n
