My heart is with his wife and family as they try to deal with the reality of this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McClure noted that he served as the best man at Grisetti\u2019s wedding.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome of my all-time favorite memories were by this man\u2019s side, playing his brother onstage for years, watching him inspire students while transforming the Musical Theatre program at Cal State Fullerton \u2026and having the honor of being the Best Man at his wedding,\u201d he wrote, adding:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DatSsrHAbkK\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" style=\" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:540px; min-width:326px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);\"\/>\n<p>\u201c[My wife] and I are beyond heartbroken. Communities around the world will never be the same without him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe love you Josh. Just a cataclysmic loss. Memorial info to come in time,\u201d the actor concluded.<\/p>\n<p>Across social media, colleagues, friends, and a legion of adoring fans are paying tribute:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe all loved him so unbelievably much. He created light and thought and humor everywhere he went. He was a BRILLIANT actor and director and writer,\u201d wrote Sierra Boggess, who starred opposite Grisetti in It Shoulda Been You on Broadway (via <em><a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/broadway-star-josh-grisetti-dead-by-suicide-at-44-12016786\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">People<\/a><\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI loved the way he looked at the world and how he challenged ideals and norms,\u201d she continued. \u201cI loved his humor and his brain and deep, deep philosophical conversations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Boggess added, \u201cOur It Should Have Been You family was as close as can be and this is so heartbreaking I will be processing with the show family and all of you for a very long time.
