Netflix adapted Little House on the Prairie<\/em> \u2014 but what changes does their version have compared to the original series?<\/p>\n Based on the book series by Laura Ingalls Wilder<\/strong>, Little House on the Prairie<\/em> series is centered on the Ingalls family, who live on a farm on Plum Creek near Walnut Grove, Minnesota, in the late 1800s.<\/p>\n NBC released an adaptation in 1974 with Michael Landon, Karen Grassle, Melissa Gilbert<\/strong> and Melissa Sue Anderson<\/strong> leading the cast. Three movies were released after Little House on the Prairie<\/em> wrapped up its run.<\/p>\n Netflix announced plans for its own version, which is set to be released in July 2026.
