Mick Jagger<\/strong><\/a> reacted to comedian John Mulaney<\/strong><\/a> saying that the Rolling Stones frontman was not \u201cnice\u201d when they worked together on Saturday Night Live<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of people in show business only hang around with people in show business, because they\u2019ve got something in common, they can relate to each other, and you get disassociated from what people might call \u2018real life,\u2019\u201d Jagger, 82, admitted to the New York Times Magazine<\/em><\/a> in an interview published<\/p>\n

In a 2019 comedy special, Mulaney, 43, recounted his experience as an SNL<\/em> writer pitching sketches to Jagger, who has been a frequent guest on the comedy show and is a close friend of producer Lorne Michaels<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy friends were all like, \u2018Is he nice?\u2019 No. Or maybe he is, for his version of life because he has a very different life,\u201d Mulaney said in his Kid Gorgeous at Radio City<\/em><\/a> special. \u201cHe\u2019s played to stadiums of 20,000 people cheering for him like he\u2019s a god for 50 years. That must change you as a person.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJohn Mulaney is adding a Robert F. Kennedy Jr. impression to his already impressive comedy repertoire. \u201cIf you don\u2019t know Bobby \u2014 and that\u2019s how I know him, as Bobby, that\u2019s how much he shouldn\u2019t be in the government. I know him. He\u2019s comedy adjacent,\u201d Mulaney, 43, said during his Netflix \u201cNight of Too Many [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mulaney admitted, \u201cIf you do that for 50 years, you\u2019re never again gonna be like, \u2018Um, does anyone have a laptop charger I could borrow?\u2019 You know that bulls*** way we all have to talk to get through life?\u201d<\/p>\n

Jagger told the New York Times Magazine<\/em> that he \u201cnever saw\u201d Mulaney\u2019s comedy special, though he agreed he had a different perspective than most people.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, it\u2019s not normal,\u201d he said of his lavish lifestyle. \u201cIt is not like most people\u2019s lives. It does affect you. You can become disassociated.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee said that he has tried to actively \u201cfight against\u201d becoming alienated from the public over the years.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, you do fight against it. It\u2019s a conscious effort,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Asked how he tries to stay in touch with people, Jagger explained, \u201cIt\u2019s quite easy, really. You go out and walk on the street on your own and do normal things, go and buy The New York Times<\/em>. But, nevertheless, that\u2019s only temporary because psychologically your actual state of mind is permanently damaged.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYour late 20s and early 30s is a very tough time for people in this business because it\u2019s a big ego trip, and you have to have a huge ego to do this,\u201d the rocker went on. \u201cPeople that do this that don\u2019t have huge egos have huge problems because they have to manufacture a completely different [personality]. I have a friend whose standing joke is that I behave at a dinner party like I behave onstage.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jagger insisted that he\u2019d learned how to switch off his bombastic stage persona.<\/p>\n
