Love Island USA<\/em><\/a>\u2018s Charlie Georgiou<\/strong> clapped back after receiving backlash<\/a> for defending brother Zach Georgiou<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cTo all the people who don\u2019t like me anymore for defending my brother, I\u2019m glad,\u201d Charlie wrote via Threads on Friday, July 10. \u201cGenuinely I don\u2019t need support from people that bully my brother online for absolute minute reasons.\u201d<\/p>\n Charlie questioned the hate directed at Zach.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cYou\u2019d think he\u2019s been cancelled for something illegal the way you are talking about him,\u201d he continued. \u201cI have received death wishes, homophobic slurs and people even telling him to \u2018take his ass back to the Byzantine empire\u2019 the region in which our heritage comes from.\u201d<\/p>\n In a follow-up post, Charlie slammed the negativity, adding, \u201cThese are probably the same people who mocked Parmida\u2019s Persian name. Ethnic names don\u2019t deserve to be mocked just because they are different.\u201d<\/p>\n He concluded: \u201cFor all the people who have said \u2018Zach withheld food from kayda and has starved kayda\u2019 as farfetched and ridiculously dramatic that statement is, Zach did make kayda breakfast that morning it just wasn\u2019t shown.\u201d<\/p>\n Love Island USA<\/em> follows a group of singles who must pair off in order to stay in the show\u2019s luxury villa. The contestants \u2014 referred to as Islanders \u2014 live in isolation in a villa under constant video surveillance. They must be coupled up to remain on the show and earn a shot at the $100,000 prize.<\/p>\n While the islanders are filming nonstop for weeks<\/a>, viewers are watching daily episodes and casting votes that affect the couples and the fate of the contestants.<\/p>\n \n While the Islanders paired off during Day 1, it didn\u2019t take long for those bonds to shift. There was also the arrival of bombshells, who tempted several Islanders to reconsider their connections.<\/p>\n Before viewers tuned in, Peacock issued a message to remind the audience to be kind.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Villa runs on good vibes, and so does this community.
