Off Campus<\/em><\/a> has found success on Prime Video while going through some major changes<\/a> including cast exits and other onscreen shakeups.<\/p>\n

Based on Elle Kennedy<\/strong>\u2018s book series<\/a>, Off Campus<\/em> follows an elite ice hockey team \u2014 and the women in their lives \u2014 as they \u201cgrapple with love, heartbreak, and self-discovery \u2014 forging deep friendships and enduring bonds while navigating the complexities that come with transitioning into adulthood,\u201d per the show\u2019s official synopsis.<\/p>\n

Season 1, which premiered in May 2026, was centered on Hannah (Ella Bright<\/strong>) and Garrett\u2019s (Belmont Cameli<\/strong>)<\/a> love story.<\/p>\n

Going by Kennedy\u2019s book order, Logan\u2019s (Antonio Cipriano<\/strong>) story was expected to be next, followed by Dean\u2019s (Stephen Kalyn<\/strong>) and Tucker\u2019s (Jalen Thomas Brooks<\/strong>). News broke, however, that Dean and Allie (Mika Abdalla<\/strong>) would be leading season 2 in a surprising shakeup.<\/p>\n

Cast Exits<\/h2>\n

After Josh Heuston<\/strong> had a scene-stealing role<\/a> as Justin in season 1, news broke that he wouldn\u2019t return \u2014 for now.<\/p>\n

\u201c[He is] not [in] next season, but I love Josh and I would not write him off if I can find a way to bring Justin back at some point,\u201d creator Louisa Levy told TV Guide at the time. \u201cWe never got a chance to meet Stella, who is the person he ends up with in the book. So maybe we\u2019ll find a way to fold him into a future season.\u201d<\/p>\n

Levy noted that it wasn\u2019t always the plan for Justin to be absent. \u201cWe don\u2019t have him [available] next season, but never say never,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Story Line Shakeups<\/h2>\n

With Justin gone, Levy hinted that season 2 is going to look a little different.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s going to be less live songs. Because we don\u2019t have all of Hannah\u2019s songwriting journey to play into,\u201d she said during Obsessed Fest in June 2026. \u201cWe don\u2019t have Josh and After Hours this season so we don\u2019t have those bands. But we still have a lot of music in other ways. We will still have some light music in the show.\u201d<\/p>\n

Levy concluded: \u201cI still think the heart of the show lives in those needle drops and those songs that underscore a moment \u2014 as well as the actual score.\u201d<\/p>\n
