The former England footballer, 59 – who has previously been open about having the anti-ageing injections – thinks it will be a “really, really tough game” when the Three Lions take on Norway in the World Cup quarter-finals on Saturday (11.07.26), and he doesn’t think manager Thomas Tuchel’s lads will get the job done in 90 minutes. <\/p>\n
When asked on Good Morning Britain what his match prediction is, Gazza – as he is affectionately known – said: “A draw. I think it’s going to be a tough game, to be fair. <\/p>\n
“I think it’ll be a really, really tough game. <\/p>\n
\t\t\t<\/p>\n
“I’ve played against Norway and they are a tough team. <\/p>\n
\n“We’ve been saying for so many years we’re going to win the World Cup. Since 1966.” <\/p>\n
\nHe joked: “I’m going to have to get more Botox if that’s going to happen.” <\/p>\n
\nPresenter Kate Garraway said to Gazza: “You’ll have to show an expression if they win and you can’t at the moment, that’s what you’re saying.”<\/p>\n
\nHe replied: “Exactly.” <\/p>\n
\nGascoigne will be cheering on the Three Lions from his bedroom on Saturday, while watching the game with a cup of water – to avoid being “pestered” in a public space. <\/p>\n
\nHe added: “I get pestered. You’d think I was in the World Cup. <\/p>\n
\n“I’m getting pestered wherever I go. It’s a bit of a nightmare. <\/p>\n
\n“So, I’ll probably be sitting on my bed watching it with a cup of water.”<\/p>\n
\nLast month, Gazza broke down in tears during a live TV interview on the GMB sofa while revealing his memoir, Eight: The Real Gazza, has saved people’s lives. <\/p>\n
\nPaul – who has been open about his battles with addiction and struggles with his life after football – said on the show: “A lot of people have come up said they’ve read it, and it helped them save their life.<\/p>\n
\n“Like I said, you know … if that book can save one person’s life then I’ve done my job.<\/p>\n
\n“Two million addicts and alcoholics die each week. It’s a lot.<\/p>\n
\n“When people come up to you and say they’ve read the book and how it’s helped them … it means a hell of a lot.<\/p>\n
\n“Because I’ve had a lot of help in my time. I’ve learned a lot.”<\/p>\n
\nHe joked: “I think I should read it myself, you know. Do myself a favour.”<\/p>\n
