Documents from a hack of Madison Square Garden last month revealed that the venue\u2019s security has been keeping a database of almost 40,000 people for owner, James Dolan.<\/p>\n
Security labels some people with different \u201crisk\u201d designations, which may mean someone has \u201c…done something in the publicity world, the social media world, that has caught the attention of the wrong people.\u201d This does not include major security risks; those are kept in a separate database.<\/p>\n
According to the source, \u201cThe talent database also tracks some celebrities\u2019 race, gender identity, and sexual orientation; 93 entries are marked as \u2018LGBTQIA.\u2019 Why MSG felt the need to label Ricky Martin or Phoebe Bridgers or Geese\u2019s Emily Green in this way is unclear.\u201d<\/p>\n
Also in the hacker collective\u2019s data dump is a second, far larger database. It contains over 10.5 million entries peppered with people\u2019s personal information, which appears to be pulled from the Garden\u2019s Salesforce customer management system.<\/p>\n

According to a source, security searches for anything remotely negative about the Garden online – especially regarding Dolan. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt doesn\u2019t have to be that serious. You could just be critical of the team or the place itself,\u201d the source notes. \u201cYou could post that you had a hard time getting in and you really didn\u2019t like the way you were treated at one of the gates. Which is really nothing, right?\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
