Emilie Ullerup<\/strong><\/a> is revealing the reality of being an actress in Hollywood and how difficult it is to land a role.<\/p>\n

Best known for her work on the Hallmark Channel, fans know Emilie<\/strong> for her role as Bree on Chesapeake Shores<\/em> and Dale in the Signed, Sealed, Delivered<\/em> movie series. <\/p>\n

In a post on her Instagram, Emilie<\/strong> gave an update on her auditions over the past 16 months, revealing that she has filmed 40 auditions and only booked one role. <\/p>\n

Emilie<\/strong> continued, \u201c’Do the work, then let it go, stop thinking about it’ is the advice we get. But we aren\u2019t robots. Pretending the silence afterward doesn\u2019t sit in your chest for days is ludicrous. Nobody talks about how much energy it takes to keep believing in something that more often than not responds with a ‘no.’ Maybe the problem was never how much we believed in ourselves. Maybe it\u2019s a business that asks for that much belief and gives so little back. Even saying this much feels like breaking a rule. We\u2019re supposed to be #grateful. #blessed. Never just tired. I\u2019m not saying whether or not it\u2019s worth it. I\u2019m still here. Always believing. But also damn tired.”<\/p>\n

Hallmark star Sharon Lawrence<\/strong><\/a> was among the people who praised the post.<\/p>\n

“Deep truth eloquently told. Your commitment to both those values and qualities are what make you an artist the moves us. Regardless of the conditions of our industry, this is evergreen. You will always be a gifted and valued storyteller, dear Emilie. Thank you for being a brave one,” she wrote. <\/p>\n
