Big Brother<\/em><\/a> player Levi Banks<\/strong> is speaking out amid his sudden exit at the eleventh hour.<\/p>\n

As Big Brother 28<\/em> kicked off on Thursday, July 9,\u00a0 Levi was nowhere to be seen during the premiere \u2014 despite previously appearing on a leaked cast list. He was also not included on the CBS\u2019 official list of 14 new houseguests<\/a> released earlier this week.<\/p>\n

To update Big Brother<\/em> viewers on his absence, Levi shared an update via Instagram<\/a> on Thursday.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is up, Big Brother<\/em> fans? My name is Levi Banks and I just wanted to give you all a quick update and to let you know that I am doing great,\u201d he said in the Instagram video.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSurvivor alum Rick Devens is trading the islands of Fiji for the Big Brother house. Entertainment Weekly reported on Tuesday, July 7, that Devens, 42, will be joining the season 28 cast. Devens may not be the sole Survivor alum competing for the $750,000 prize as another player, who has not been named, is expected [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Levi continued: \u201cI was all set and ready to move into the Big Brother<\/em> house this season,\u201d he says, \u201cand as we got closer and closer and closer to the move-in day I just kinda realized that this was not the right fit for me personally.\u201d<\/p>\n

Insisting that it was his own decision to walk away rather than being cut by the powers that be at Big Brother<\/em>, Levi said it wasn\u2019t a call he made easily.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cI kinda wanted to let you know that was probably the hardest decision of my entire life,\u201d Levi added.<\/p>\n

Levi continued, \u201cI am back home in North Carolina right now. And I am on good terms with CBS, Big Brother<\/em>, and everyone, and I just wanted to let them know and you all know that I am so, so, so thankful for this opportunity. It has been very life-changing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although he will no longer be in the middle of the action in the Big Brother<\/em> house, Levi said he would still be following the season as a fan.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am so freaking excited to watch the show tonight,\u201d he said. \u201cOh my gosh, I am pumped! It\u2019s gonna be a little bit of a different POV than going in the house as to being in my couch, so I will take that one thing at a time. But I want to say thank you all so much for your support. I appreciate each and every one of you, and let\u2019s go Yash!\u201d<\/p>\n

The reference to Yash appears to be a reference to Yash Patel<\/strong>, who was rumored to be the replacement player for Levi after he dropped out.<\/p>\n
