autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>That unmistakable voice reached legendary status in 1983 with \u201cTotal Eclipse of the Heart.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She followed that success with another enduring anthem, \u201cHolding Out for a Hero,\u201d cementing her place among the defining voices of 1980s pop music.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/07\/09\/entertainment\/bonnie-tyler-rocked-out-to-total-eclipse-of-the-heart-in-final-performance-before-death\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Page Six<\/a>, Tyler wowed an audience at London\u2019s Shepherd\u2019s Bush Empire on March 19. Sadly, it would prove to be her final performance.<\/p>\n<p>She was set to take the stage two days later in Cardiff, but the show was postponed.<\/p>\n<p>Tyler\u00a0was hospitalized\u00a0in Faro, Portugal, at the end of April over a serious tear in her bowel.<\/p>\n<p>She reportedly underwent emergency intestinal surgery and was\u00a0placed in a medically induced coma\u00a0due to complications from the procedure.<\/p>\n<p>Although Tyler never again matched the extraordinary commercial success of \u201cTotal Eclipse of the Heart,\u201d she continued recording and touring for decades.<\/p>\n<p>She remained especially popular throughout Europe, represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013, and was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for her achievements.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her husband of more than 50 years, Robert Sullivan.<\/p>\n<p>Our thoughts go out to Bonnie Tyler\u2019s loved ones during this enormously difficult time.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2026\/07\/bonnie-tyler-cause-of-death-total-eclipse-of-the-heart-singer-was-75\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Reading Time: 2 minutes We have tragic news to report from the world of music today.
