Discovery)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>During an appearance on the \u201cUnfiltered with Ricky Bo &amp; Bill Colarulo\u201d podcast, Barkley revealed that he was invited to the star-studded celebration but ultimately declined the offer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t go to weddings or funerals,\u201d Barkley said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I did get an invite, and I politely declined because I thought it was going to be a crap show.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite skipping the festivities, Barkley made it clear there are no hard feelings between him and the newlyweds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love Travis and Jason, and I\u2019ve only met Taylor one time,\u201d he continued. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut yeah, I did get an invite. But I said, that\u2019s just too much. I just want to hang out and play golf, and I don\u2019t want to dress up and all that other stuff. But I appreciate the invitation; it was pretty special.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Barkley\u2019s comments came after co-host Bill Colarulo assumed he hadn\u2019t been invited to the lavish event, given that his name wasn\u2019t among the many celebrities spotted at the wedding.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DYUusWfABDY\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" style=\" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:540px; min-width:326px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);\"\/>\n<p>Instead, the Hall of Famer revealed that the lack of an invite was never the issue. He simply wasn\u2019t interested.<\/p>\n<p>The July 3 ceremony drew an estimated 1,000 guests and featured an A-list crowd that included sports stars, actors, musicians, and television personalities. The event has been widely described as one of the biggest celebrity weddings in recent memory.<\/p>\n<p>Barkley, however, preferred a much quieter holiday weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than spend hours navigating a massive celebrity-filled event, the longtime broadcaster said he\u2019d rather be on the golf course than wearing formal attire.<\/p>\n<p>Considering Barkley\u2019s famously unfiltered personality, his explanation probably won\u2019t surprise fans.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s never been one to sugarcoat his opinions, and this time was no different.<\/p>\n<p>Even so, he emphasized that he appreciated receiving an invitation from Kelce and Swift and described it as \u201cpretty special.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It just wasn\u2019t special enough to get him into a suit.
