Passengers who book Delta&#8217;s new basic business-class fares won&#8217;t be able to enter its swanky Delta One Lounges. The move builds on the airline&#8217;s expansion of basic economy over the past 14 years, a fare class originally introduced to help major airlines compete with low-cost carriers.<\/p>\n<p>The carrier <span><a href=\"https:\/\/thepointsguy.com\/news\/delta-air-lines-comfort-basic-fare\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">had already started selling<\/a><\/span> basic versions of its extra legroom Comfort seats last fall.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not the first U.S. carrier to launch basic business and premium economy fares, either.
