Robert Pattinson<\/strong><\/a> makes a surprising comparison for his character in The Odyssey<\/strong><\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

The 40-year-old actor will be playing Antinous in the upcoming Christopher Nolan<\/strong> epic, who is “a suitor vying for Penelope\u2019s hand in marriage and Odysseus\u2019 throne overseeing the kingdom of Ithaca,” per Deadline<\/a><\/em>. <\/p>\n

In a recent interview at the film’s world premiere in London<\/a> this week, Robert<\/strong> compared Antinous to Taylor Lautner<\/strong>‘s Jacob Black from The Twilight Saga<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think they will be rooting for him,\u201d the actor told\u00a0MTV UK<\/a>. \u201cI keep comparing it\u2014it\u2019s kind of like Jacob in\u00a0Twilight<\/em>.”<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u00a0The Odyssey<\/em>\u00a0is about \u2014 Penelope just can\u2019t make her mind up between the two guys and I\u2019m just trying to like help her make a decision. It\u2019s like, \u2018It\u2019s fine. He\u2019s dead, get over it,’\u201d Robert<\/strong> added. <\/p>\n

If you’re unaware, Penelope is played by Anne Hathaway<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In case you missed it, earlier this year, Robert<\/strong> jokingly claimed this<\/a> about the Twilight<\/em> movies…<\/p>\n

The Odyssey<\/em>, releasing in theaters on July 17th, marks Robert<\/strong>‘s second movie this year with Zendaya<\/strong>, following The Drama<\/em>, which is coming to streaming soon<\/a>!<\/p>\n

They will then star in a third movie together, Dune: Part Three<\/a><\/em>, which debuts on December 18th.<\/p>\n
