But there have also been some odd questions that have nothing to do with her gender.<\/p>\n
She\u2019s an Italian model who lives in London. But \u2026 what\u2019s with the accent? Cleo is answering it all.<\/p>\n<\/noscript>90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days Season 6 star Cleo opened up on YouTube about her accent, and some surprising questions that she has received. (YouTube)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nAs you can watch and hear for yourself in the video below, Cleo has heard all of the questions about her accent.<\/p>\n
She doesn\u2019t have a British accent. She doesn\u2019t have a recognizable Italian accent. And it\u2019s not like she has a neutral American accent.<\/p>\n
Fans have speculated that she might be Scandinavian or even from Eastern Europe. Others wondered if it was an affect, or a result of moving a lot between countries.<\/p>\n (TLC)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\u201cI do get why some people may find my accent a little weird or it just doesn\u2019t sound like an Italian,\u201d she began in her July 2 video.<\/p>\n
\u201cLike what you\u2019re used to when it comes to an Italian accent,\u201d Cleo continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd,\u201d she added, \u201cwhat people sound like in the movies.\u201d Actual Italian accents vary regionally.<\/p>\n (TLC)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nCleo noted that people in London have \u201cvarying accents\u201d because \u201cthere are so many different ethnicities and so many different nationalities people coming from all over.\u201d<\/p>\n
She explained: \u201cSo when you learn English while living in London, it\u2019s not going to be, I guess, the same as if you were learning English while living in a small American town.\u201d<\/p>\n
Cleo noted: \u201cLondon is really unique in the fact that there\u2019s people from literally everywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n (TLC)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nItalian is Cleo\u2019s first language. But she did not have a conventional English education. She learned the language through TV, films, and music.<\/p>\n
\u201cI didn\u2019t have, like, a classic kind of, like, way of learning English,\u201d she admitted.<\/p>\n
At least, not \u201clike most people in Italy or other countries would learn English through, you know, their schools. Or, you know, doing an evening course or whatever.\u201d<\/p>\n (TLC)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nCleo wasn\u2019t just watching Marvel movies or Law & Order<\/em> marathons. <\/p>\nShe watched American TV, British TV, and Australian TV. <\/p>\n
And so she absorbed all of the accents that go with them.<\/p>\nAfter her debut episode of 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days Season 6, Cleo acknowledged on her Instagram Story that people have questions about her accent. She promised to address them at a later date. (Instagram)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\u201cSo when learning English through media, you get a variety of accents,\u201d Cleo reasoned.<\/p>\n
She also noted that being autistic means that she speaks with a\u201dvery unique tone and manner of speech.\u201d<\/p>\n
Cleo noted: \u201cSometimes we have stilted speech.\u201d For example, she sometimes sounds \u201crigid\u201d when trying to express herself.<\/p>\n\n\n
