Asjha Cooper<\/strong><\/a> has joined the cast of two Power<\/strong><\/em> shows!<\/p>\n

The actress was introduced as Tiana in Power Book III: Raising Kanan<\/strong><\/a><\/em>‘s season five, episode three, but her true identity was unveiled in the next episode, which aired Friday (July 3) on Starz. <\/p>\n

Tiana was introduced as a call girl working for Flossie Siegel (Leslie Grossman<\/strong><\/a>), and she revealed to Kanan on Friday’s episode that her real name is Jarita.<\/p>\n

Power<\/em> fans will recall that Jarita is Kanan’s love interest, who first appeared in the OG show’s second season, played by Tasha Smith<\/strong><\/a> across three episodes, and is the mother of his son Shawn Stark.<\/p>\n

Asjha<\/strong> will continue in the role as a guest star throughout the remainder of the show’s final season. <\/p>\n

She will then reprise the character in the upcoming spinoff series Power: Origins<\/strong><\/a><\/em>, alongside Kanan Stark actor Mekai Curtis<\/strong><\/a>, in a series regular capacity. <\/p>\n

Power: Origins<\/em> follows “Ghost, Tommy and Kanan as ambitious young entrepreneurs on the rise, determined to make their mark on the streets of New York City.”<\/p>\n

Filming is currently underway on the fourth spinoff in the franchise in New Jersey. <\/p>\n
