Country launches that have been paused include Austria, Norway, and Greece.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Uber seemed to confirm the decision to the FT, saying that recent launches in Finland and Denmark had been a \u201chuge success,\u201d so now it wants to \u201cfocus on continuing the momentum\u201d in existing markets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another likely factor in the decision: Uber\u2019s continuing efforts to acquire Delivery Hero, a European company that <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2026\/05\/25\/delivery-hero-shares-rival-uber-mulls-another-takeover-bid.html\" target=\"_blank\">rejected Uber\u2019s 10 billion euro takeover bid<\/a> in May.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It seems Uber is still hoping to make the deal a reality.
