Dutton Ranch<\/em><\/a>\u2018s Juan Pablo Raba<\/strong> weighed in on that shocking death in the finale \u2014 and denied responsibility.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I first read it, I was like, \u2018Oh my God, how is this going to play out?\u2019 But as I flip through the pages, I don\u2019t see an actual scene where Joaquin kills [Rob-Will],\u201d Raba told TVLine<\/em> about the finale, which premiered on Friday, July 3.<\/p>\n

Raba argued that Joaquin might not be at fault.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cYou see Joaquin in a car with a gun, and a lot of doubt and heartbreak. He\u2019s not getting pumped to do something that he\u2019s never done before,\u201d he noted. \u201cAll we see is Joaquin in his car giving some hard thought to something. And then we see him later, in the same car with the same gun \u2026 but did he do it?\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Raba, there is also Joaquin\u2019s dad to consider, saying, \u201cIf you\u2019re Mariano, and you\u2019re saying [demeaning things] about your son, and then you tell him to go kill his brother, wouldn\u2019t you also send someone to make sure things have been done? I\u2019m just saying!\u201d<\/p>\n

The season finale of the hit Paramount+ series, Oreana (Natalie Alyn Lind<\/strong>) took a pregnancy test and found out<\/a> she was expecting a baby. She didn\u2019t tell Carter (Finn Little<\/strong>) but the couple did reunite and make plans to leave Texas behind.<\/p>\n

Oreana\u2019s dad, Rob-Will (Jai Courtney<\/strong>), found her packing her bags, which led to a sentimental father-daughter moment. It didn\u2019t last long, however, because Rob-Will went down to open the door \u2014 and was shot by brother Joaquin.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was no climax, no discussion,\u201d Raba shared. \u201cThis guy literally just opened the door and somebody shot [Rob-Will]. That\u2019s a stone-cold killer if you ask me. Now, is Joaquin capable of doing that? Maybe the heartbreak [of losing the 10-Petal] was too much for him to handle, but I have no idea.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cYou can always have the killer revealed, maybe in a flashback, if you need to in the future, but it was much better to leave the possibilities open for a storyline in the second season.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yellowstone<\/em> initially introduced viewers<\/a> to the Dutton family in 2018. The Paramount Network show came to an end in 2024, expanding its universe with Luke Grimes<\/strong>\u2018 CBS show Marshals<\/em> and Dutton Ranch<\/em>, which premiered in May.<\/p>\n
