TMZ has been sharing updates about messages they\u2019ve been receiving as well.<\/a><\/p>\n This week, it was said that the FBI determined that none of the ransom notes were real.<\/a><\/p>\n Now, the FBI has released a new statement in response to this report.<\/p>\n \u201cThe FBI and its task force partners have received several ransom notes over the course of this investigation. Some have been deemed to be extortion attempts without legitimacy. Other ransom demands may potentially be legitimate and are still being investigated as such,\u201d the statement, posted to X<\/a>, reads. \u201cThis case continues to be investigated as a kidnapping for ransom case.
