\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Chris Brown<\/strong><\/a> has to pay up to his former housekeeper.<\/p>\n On Wednesday (July 1), Billboard<\/a><\/em> reported that the 37-year-old \u201cUnder the Influencer\u201d rapper has been ordered to pay nearly $13 million in damages to former housekeeper Maria Avila<\/strong> after a brutal dog attack took place in his home back in 2020.<\/p>\n Following the two-week trial, a Los Angeles jury ruled in favor of Avila<\/strong>, ordering Brown<\/strong> and his company Black Pyramid LLC have to pay her $12.9 million for negligence.<\/p>\n During the trial, Avila<\/strong> shared that in 2020 she was taking the trash out of Brown<\/strong>\u2018s Tarzana, Calif. home when she was attacked by a 200 lb. Caucasian shepherd named Hades<\/strong>, who was owned by Brown<\/strong> for security details. Avila<\/strong> said that the dog ripped out \u201clarge chunks of her skin,\u201d and left her face and arm permanently disfigured. She also said that she has suffered mobility issues as a result of the attack.<\/p>\n Avila<\/strong>\u2018s sister Patricia<\/strong>, who was also working at Brown<\/strong>\u2018s house when the attack took place, was also awarded $885,000 and Avila<\/strong>\u2018s husband Oscar Olivo<\/strong> was awarded $50,000.<\/p>\n Brown<\/strong> detailed finding Avila<\/strong> covered blood and explained his behavior afterward.<\/p>\n \u201cThe blood kind of freaked me out,\u201d Brown<\/strong> said during the trial, adding that he was \u201cin shock\u201d and that\u2019s why he fled the scene on his manager\u2019s advice, per the BBC<\/a><\/em>.
