It followed Kate<\/strong>, her ex-husband Jon Gosselin<\/strong><\/a>, and their children after they gave birth to sextuplets. Their previously born twin daughters left them with a total of eight children. Collin <\/strong>has been estranged from his mom, and has given some interviews and leveled allegations against her.<\/a><\/p>\n It was recently revealed that Collin<\/strong> wrote a memoir, \u201cIn the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood<\/em>.\u201d He just gave an interview where he claimed she once used zipties on his wrists and ankles and locked him in a basement.<\/p>\n Now, fans are taking to Kate<\/strong>\u2018s comments on social media to ask her about the statements he has been making.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you are 100% certain that the accusations against you are lies, my suggestion would be to take him to court and sue him for defamation!\u201d one user wrote in the comments of a post<\/a> (via People<\/a>).<\/p>\n Kate <\/strong>responded, \u201cI can\u2019t bc I\u2019m a public figure. Rules are different unfortunately. Or I def would!\u201d<\/p>\n Another asked if she would submit to a lie detector test. Her response? \u201cHa!\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cMalice is one of the hardest things to prove. I tried :(,\u201d Kate said while responding to another comment. \u201cThe rules are different for ppl in the public eye.
