It also remains unclear how closely the new movie will connect to previous entries in the franchise.<\/p>\n The untitled film is being directed by Ian Tuason<\/strong>, the filmmaker behind Undertone<\/em>, and is currently set to arrive in theaters on May 21, 2027.<\/p>\n The movie will mark the eighth installment in the Paranormal Activity<\/em> film series, which began with Oren Peli<\/strong>\u2019s 2007 found-footage horror hit.<\/p>\n The new film is set up at Paramount and Blumhouse-Atomic Monster, with James Wan<\/strong>, Jason Blum<\/strong>, and Oren<\/strong> among the producers.<\/p>\n Chase<\/strong>\u2019s casting appears to be the first major acting news for the upcoming film.
