\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Jodie Turner-Smith<\/a><\/strong> is opening up about her divorce from Joshua Jackson<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n The 39-year-old Tron: Ares<\/em> actress and the 48-year-old Dawson\u2019s Creek<\/em> actor started dating in October 2018 and married in late 2019. After four years of marriage, Jodie<\/strong> filed for divorce in October 2023 and their divorced was finalized<\/a> in May 2025. They share daughter Juno<\/strong>, who was born in April 2020.<\/p>\n While appearing on the Monday (June 29) episode of Hoda Kotb<\/strong>\u2019s Joy 101<\/em> podcast<\/a>, Jodie<\/strong> shared how she talked to their now-6-year-old daughter about the divorce.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m a child of divorce, myself, and so is my ex-husband,\u201d Jodie <\/strong>explained. \u201cIt\u2019s always been important to think about what is the language around which we are going to talk about this with our daughter because this is her new reality.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re learning as well and not always getting it totally right, but the idea is always two homes filled with love,\u201d she continued. \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018You got two houses, girl.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Jodie<\/strong> went on to say that the most \u201cdifficult\u201d part of her split from Joshua is \u201cnavigating the conversation\u201d with her daughter.<\/p>\n \u201cYou got to walk this line between, obviously, being age appropriate and child-centered in the way that you talk about it,\u201d Jodie<\/strong> shared. \u201cBut also keeping it real, so that she has an understanding of what this means.\u201d<\/p>\n She also said that books have become her \u201cfavorite tool\u201d for these conversations.<\/p>\n \u201cI read her so many books about divorce, about what that means.
