West Wilson<\/strong><\/a> is speaking out about the now-viral whiteboard video explaining his Summer House<\/em><\/a> scandal with Amanda Batula<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI, kind of, did it reluctantly,\u201d West, 31, said during the Saturday, June 27, episode of his \u201cShow Me Something\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019ve been doing those for like three years, so we \u2014 this sounds so stupid \u2014 but we talked forever [before recording].\u201d<\/p>\n

West noted that The Broadcast Boys (influencers Lucas Brody<\/strong> and Nelson Vergara<\/strong>) \u201ccouldn\u2019t skip\u201d the drama because of their past whiteboard videos about the Summer House<\/em> cast.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve made fun of so many people in so many shows that they have to do the Summer House<\/em>, and I have to take my licks for that one,\u201d he explained. \u201cBasically, I just showed up and sat there and let them f***ing roast me. We recorded for two hours, and it\u2019s a 25 minute cut or something.\u201d<\/p>\n

The two-part breakdown of West and Amanda\u2019s Summer House<\/em> drama went live via Instagram<\/a> on Wednesday, June 24. At one point Lucas asked West if he \u201cgot Amanda\u2019s permission\u201d to film the whiteboard video.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah,\u201d West replied. Lucas asked, \u201cAnd she was worried?\u201d<\/p>\n

West responded, \u201cYeah, dude.\u201d<\/p>\n

West and Amanda, 34, confirmed in late March that they had begun a romantic relationship. While Amanda was previously married to Summer House<\/em> costar Kyle Cooke<\/strong>, West dated Amanda\u2019s best friend Ciara Miller<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The two have continued to face widespread public backlash for their relationship \u2014 especially after their actions during the season 10 reunion, which wrapped up earlier this month.<\/p>\n

\u201cWest isn\u2019t coming back,\u201d a source told Us<\/em>. \u201cHe could still make an appearance on Summer House or In the City in the future, especially if things with Amanda progress, but he\u2019s not a cast member this season.\u201d<\/p>\n

West initially discussed his exit<\/a> from the show during Wednesday\u2019s whiteboard video.<\/p>\n
