Yellowstone<\/em><\/a>\u2018s Kelly Reilly<\/strong> and Cole Hauser<\/strong> finally broke their silence after their Dutton Ranch<\/em> spinoff<\/a> went through a shocking showrunner shakeup.<\/p>\n

\u201cShowrunners change all the time,\u201d Hauser, 51, recently told The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a>\u00a0in a joint interview. \u201cThis business is about adapting.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cWe\u2019ve been doing this for a long time. Things change. People move on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reilly, 48, had a similar outlook<\/a>, adding, \u201d We finished [season one] with Chad beautifully. We finished this season together. It was a really difficult but really satisfying show to make. And so was Yellowstone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Looking ahead, the actress wanted to focus on the positive<\/a>. \u201cSo is anything worth making,\u201d she concluded. \u201cWe\u2019re all creative minds and we all work together and I\u2019m so proud of that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shortly before the show premiered in June, Chad Feehan<\/strong> was in charge of the Yellowstone<\/em> spinoff.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> later confirmed that Feehan would not return as showrunner<\/a> after an April report that the producer who created Lawmen: Bass Reeves<\/em> with creator Taylor Sheridan<\/strong> stepped away from Dutton Ranch<\/em> after alleged friction with series stars Hauser and Reilly, among others.<\/p>\n

Sheridan and his producing partner David Glasser<\/strong>, along with the two leads, were allegedly more unhappy with how Feehan ran the production than with the scripts.<\/p>\n

Executive producer Christina Voros<\/strong> broke her silence about Feehan\u2019s reported firing, telling ScreenRant in May that he did \u201can exceptional job building a world of adversaries for Rip and Beth\u201d in the Yellowstone spinoff.<\/p>\n

Voros noted that when it came to \u201cdynamics behind his departure,\u201d she didn\u2019t have much to add. She went on to say that Dutton Ranch had at that point not \u201ccome out into the world yet\u201d so a future without Feehan was \u201cbeyond\u201d her knowledge on the subject.<\/p>\n

The director expressed gratitude to Feehan and his team for \u201ccreating a world for these characters to move into.\u201d<\/p>\n
