Landman<\/em>\u2018s Ali Larter<\/strong> weighed in on how creator Taylor Sheridan<\/strong><\/a> has written female characters on his shows.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI love that he creates dynamic and powerful women,\u201d Larter, 50, recently told Us Weekly<\/em> at the Newport Beach TV Fest sponsored by Visit Newport Beach.<\/p>\n

Larter was excited to see what Sheridan, 56, created for her character<\/a>, Angela, in season 3, adding, \u201cWith someone like Angela, she\u2019s someone who loves her family, loves to have a good time and she has this big, huge heart.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cFor me, it\u2019s been a dream getting to play her. I never know what\u2019s going to come out of her mouth \u2014 but we figure it out on set \u2014 and it\u2019s always a joy and a blast to play her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Based on the \u201cBoomtown\u201d podcast, Landman<\/em> is Sheridan\u2019s newest hit series, joining the ranks of Yellowstone, Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King, Lawmen: Bass Reeves<\/em> and Lioness<\/em>. The hit Paramount+ series introduced Billy Bob Thornton<\/strong> as a corporate fixer working for an oil titan in a West Texas-set drama with life-and-death stakes.<\/a><\/p>\n

Larter, meanwhile, plays Tommy\u2019s (Thornton) wife alongside their onscreen daughter Ainsley (Michelle Randolph<\/strong>). Before filming began on season 3, Larter teased what might be explored in future episodes.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really can\u2019t even assume or try to guess what Taylor is going to imagine for season 3,\u201d Larter shared at the event. \u201cOne thing I know is that to be able to get this far into our story lines, we all know each other. So the characters really understand what their dynamics are.\u201d<\/p>\n

Larter teased that Sheridan<\/a> will \u201cjust lean into that,\u201d adding, \u201cAnd I think what\u2019s nice is that it\u2019s not the first time. So when you\u2019re going back down, it\u2019s not the anxiety and the nervousness. You\u2019ll get a little bit of the jitters, but to be able to go down and just do what we love [is wonderful].\u201d<\/p>\n
