\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n David Bromstad<\/strong><\/a> is not walking away from My Lottery Dream Home<\/em>, but fans may have seen the last of him taking on a major design project in front of the cameras.<\/p>\n The HGTV favorite opened up about his future in design shows after pouring years of work into his own home for the December 2025 special My Lottery Dream Home: David\u2019s Happy Ending<\/em>.<\/p>\n In a new interview with Barron Designs, David<\/strong> said the special was \u201cprobably the first and last time I\u2019ll be designing in front of America.\u201d<\/p>\n David<\/strong> explained that designing his own home came with a lot of pressure, partly because it had been years since viewers had watched him do that kind of creative work on TV.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s been so long since I\u2019ve done any sort of design in front of America, right?\u201d he said. \u201cAnd I\u2019m an artist, you know? I love my job with Lottery<\/em> but I am a creative through and through. So it was really nice to be able to flex my muscles a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n He also admitted that, at first, he felt he had \u201csomething to prove\u201d with the project.<\/p>\n The renovation became much more complicated after a storm damaged his Florida home, forcing him to rebuild and rethink the whole vision. David<\/strong> later took time away to focus on his substance use and mental health<\/a> before returning to the house.<\/p>\nWhy the project meant so much to him<\/h3>\n
