That is slightly above average for his age, developmentally speaking.<\/p>\n<p>According to the CDC (obviously, that heavily politicized organization requires a huge grain of salt), a \u201chealthy\u201d weight for him would have been less than 80 pounds.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of his death, his weight was reportedly 255 pounds.<\/p>\n<p>255 is smaller than some football players. Depending upon someone\u2019s build, that might be the ideal weight for an adult body.<\/p>\n<p>For a 7-year-old, it isn\u2019t healthy. And authorities say that it\u2019s evidence of a litany of crimes committed by the late child\u2019s parents.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Flint Twp. 7-year-old dies weighing 255 lbs.; parents charged with 2nd-degree murder\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fNJRkl8tRXA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-cruel-and-extreme-suffering\">\u2018Cruel and extreme suffering\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>Damien O\u2019Brien and Jessica O\u2019Brien have been charged with a slew of crimes.<\/p>\n<p>The charges include second-degree murder, child abuse, and torture, the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/06\/26\/us-news\/hoarder-parents-charged-with-murder-of-7-year-old-son-who-died-weighing-255-pounds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NY Post<\/a><\/em> reports.<\/p>\n<p>According to Geneseee County prosecutor David Leyton, this is about \u201ccruel and extreme suffering from this child caused by the neglect of the parents.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In fact, Casper was not the only child in the house. The O\u2019Briens also have a 5-year-old daughter.<\/p>\n<p>Allegedly, they never enrolled Casper in school, effectively hiding both children \u2014 and their welfare \u2014 from society.
