The candid comments come weeks after the former couple announced they had ended their marriage but remained on good terms as they continue to co-parent their two sons, Sid, 12, and Lazlo, eight. <\/p>\n
Jenny, who has built a following through her books, social media and television appearances, met Jason while filming the 2008 comedy My Best Friend\u2019s Girl, while Jason remains best known for the American Pie franchise, as well as films including Loser and Wedding Daze.<\/p>\n
\nJenny said: \u201cI\u2019m like, oh, f***, this is crazy because literally, and the timing was horrifying because, okay, Jason was moving out on a Friday and I didn\u2019t mean for it to line up this way.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe added: \u201cI\u2019m having a vagina surgery. I mean, it looks so bad for me.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nLaughing as she recalled the conversation, Jenny explained she had initially hesitated before sending the message.<\/p>\n
\nShe added she \u201cdidn\u2019t want to tell\u201d Jason because \u201cit sounded shady\u201d and \u201cweird\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nDescribing the operation, Jenny said: \u201cI\u2019m going under for two-and-a-half f****** hours. I was like, \u2018Make this feel palatable\u2019, but it was awful.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe said there was one detail she felt would at least reassure her former husband.<\/p>\n
\nJenny added: \u201cThe one good thing I was able to tell him was, \u2018I\u2019m not allowed to have sex for eight weeks\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAlthough she did not reveal Jason\u2019s response, Jenny joked everything now looked \u201ceven\u201d following the procedure.<\/p>\n
\nThe couple announced their separation in May, with a representative saying they remain on good terms and are focused on raising their children together.<\/p>\n
\nEarlier this week, Jenny also discussed the split during an appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast with Amanda Hirsch, insisting that despite ending their marriage, their emotional bond remains intact.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cWe still love each other. It\u2019s just not, I don\u2019t know, it\u2019s a different type of romance. It\u2019s, like, your best friend.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nJenny described the pair as \u201camazing\u201d co-parents and called their relationship \u201csolid\u201d, while admitting returning to single life after nearly two decades together had felt \u201cbizarre\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nReflecting on how little had changed in their day-to-day communication, she said: \u201cPeople will be like, \u2018How does it feel?\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018I don\u2019t know, the same?\u2019 We live in two different places, but we\u2019re still tethered. We have kids. We still talk 18 times a day about everyone\u2019s schedule and after school and holidays.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nJenny and Jason met while filming My Best Friend\u2019s Girl in 2007. <\/p>\n
\nThey became engaged in January 2008 before eloping three months later, renewing their vows in Napa, California, later that year.<\/p>\n
\nLast year, Jenny paid tribute to Jason in a birthday message on Instagram, sharing a photograph from his surprise 30th birthday celebration.<\/p>\n
\nShe wrote: \u201cWe were married and yet I still knew practically nothing about you. Like for example, the fact that you hate surprises. Luckily, we made it past that hurdle. Happy 47th, I promise I planned nothing.\u201d<\/p>\n
