20px), 720px\" data-pin-media=\"https:\/\/cdn.thehollywoodgossip.com\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Screenshot-2026-06-10-at-9.41.14-AM-e1781111721165.png\" loading=\"lazy\" data-trellis-processed=\"1\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Karmelo Anthony posed for a new mugshot before beginning his lengthy sentence.<span class=\"image-caption-credit\"> (Collin County)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2026\/06\/24\/austin-metcalf-tiktok-trend-slammed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TMZ<\/a> reports, TikTok creators have been posting videos in which they dance to a rap song called \u201cAustin Bop.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The dance seems to consist of a stabbing motion, and according to one news report, the song used includes lyrics \u201cabout Metcalf\u2019s death.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The TMZ report confirms that the song used in the video \u201cincludes lyrics referencing the stabbing and Metcalf\u2019s death. <\/p>\n<p>The outlet reports that there is a second version of the song that \u201ctakes aim at Austin\u2019s twin brother, Hunter Metcalf, who was with him in the aftermath of the attack.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-tiktok wp-block-embed-tiktok\"\/>\n<p>The trend has left the social media world sharply divided, with many attacking it as monstrously cruel and others defending it on the grounds of free speech rights.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf y\u2019all can laugh about calling Michelle Obama a man, we can laugh about this,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@crime.op\/video\/7652286782356114719?q=austin%20bob&amp;t=1782390975840\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">one user commented<\/a> on a video exploring the trend.<\/p>\n<p>Others insisted that this is a case of the media attempting to create controversy for clicks:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has nothing to do with Austin,\u201d wrote one commenter.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2026\/06\/karmelo-anthony-mugshot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Anthony has been sentenced to 35 years<\/a> in prison in connection with Metcalf\u2019s stabbing death.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the victim\u2019s father, Jeff Metcalf, has created a social media controversy of his own with a video in which he bashed the entire Anthony family, at one point <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2026\/06\/austin-metcalfs-father-calls-karmelo-anthony-coward-and-watermelon-felon-in-racist-rant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">referring to Anthony as a \u201cwatermelon felon.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The racist video rightly sparked outrage, but the Metcalf family still has a large group of supporters, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2026\/06\/rep-randy-fine-pushes-for-death-penalty-for-karmelo-anthony\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rep.
