Millie Bobby Brown was affected by the end of Stranger Things<\/p>\n
The 22-year-old actress, who starred as Eleven in the hit Netflix sci-fi series, has recalled the fallout to the end of the show, which concluded with its final episode The Rightside Up on New Year’s Day.<\/p>\n
She told the Happy Sad Confused podcast: “I went into a little bit of a slight, slight depression.<\/p>\n
“It was very hard for me. I would not have expected that coming off of the show. I\u2019m a very happy-go-lucky person.\u201d<\/p>\n
She decided to “mend” any unresolved issues with her castmates, and make sure they would all stay in touch even after Stranger Things was over.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: \u201cThey probably thought I was crazy. I was like, \u2018We\u2019re still friends, right? Like, you\u2019re not gonna stop talking to me anymore?\u2019<\/p>\n
\n“I was like, \u2018I\u2019m sorry if I ever upset you,\u2019 and was just trying to mend anything. \u2018It\u2019s been 10 years, and I really want to be friends. You\u2019re my sibling.\u2019<\/p>\n
\n“And then I was on the beach, it was beautiful, and I just sat there crying. It was a very hard time for me.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMillie noted “no one will ever understand” the experience of being on Stranger Things from such a young age alongside the likes of fellow child stars Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Sinclair) and Noah Schnapp (Will Byers).<\/p>\n
\nShe explained: “I started the show when I was 10, and this character was me, and these people were in my life more than my own family.<\/p>\n
\n“I saw these people more than going home and eating dinner with my family.<\/p>\n
\n“Saying goodbye to that after 10 years was a very, very emotional thing, and I\u2019m going to miss Eleven more than anything.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nStranger Things ended on a bombshell which has left fans divided, as the fate of Eleven is yet to actually be confirmed.<\/p>\n
\nDespite initially suggesting she has died, the series actually concludes with Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) imagining a future where she survives, and creators Matt and Ross Duffer have encouraged fans to make up their own minds.<\/p>\n
\nMillie admitted she and the Duffers are the only three people who know the truth, and they text her after the finale aired to remind her to keep it a secret.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cThey were like, \u2018Do not tell anyone. Because we made it a secret kind of pledge’.<\/p>\n
\n“No one else knows. It\u2019s just us three. And what we do with that information, it\u2019ll be up to them.\u201d<\/p>\n
