West Wilson<\/strong><\/a> is speaking out for the first time following news that\u2019s leaving Summer House<\/strong><\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

After the season 10 reunion aired on Bravo earlier this month, it was revealed that the 31-year-old TV personality and sports journalist will not be returning for the upcoming 11th season.<\/p>\n

While appearing on the Wednesday (June 24) episode of The Broadcast Boys<\/a><\/em>, West<\/strong> shared his first public comments about his exit.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted to tell it on my own but that [exit rumor] is true,\u201d West <\/strong>said. \u201cIn [Bravo\u2019s] defense, I don\u2019t think it would have been a fun summer.\u201d<\/p>\n

West<\/strong> has been in the headlines a lot this year after he confirmed<\/a> that he and co-star Amanda Batula<\/strong><\/a> were dating. The news came as a big blow to their co-star and Amanda<\/strong>\u2018s close friend Ciara Miller<\/strong>, who previously dated West<\/strong> a few summers ago. This also marks Amanda<\/strong>\u2018s first public relationship since splitting from husband, and fellow Summer House<\/em> star, Kyle Cooke<\/strong> earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Also during the new interview, West<\/strong> addressed revealing during the Summer House <\/em>season 10 reunion where he and Amanda<\/strong>, 34, had sex for the first time<\/a> after they released the statement confirming their relationship in March.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe f\u2013ked after the statement but we\u2019d been like making out and having sleepovers for a long time,\u201d he said. \u201cI was still doing the wrong thing but I was like \u2026 I\u2019m not committing a crime.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also addressed speculation that he and Amanda <\/strong>released the public statement because of an apparent video of them \u201ccanoodling.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t seen [the video] but I\u2019ve heard from credible sources it does [exist],\u201d West <\/strong>said. \u201cIt\u2019s very illegal, I\u2019d like to note.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then clarified, \u201cFrom what I\u2019ve been told it was Amanda and I canoodling in my apartment from one of my neighbors across the street. That\u2019s what kinda kicked off everything into panic, rush mode.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI guess I\u2019ve always thought in New York there\u2019s an unspoken rule that we can all see each other across our f\u2013king windows and balconies, like, don\u2019t film each other,\u201d he later argued.<\/p>\n

If you didn\u2019t see, a Bravo exec recently addressed Amanda<\/strong>\u2018s future on Summer House<\/em><\/a> amid speculation the network is \u201cprotecting\u201d her.<\/p>\n
