Emma Watson<\/a> once mistook a group of birdwatchers for paparazzi.<\/p>\n

Emma Watson made a mistake when she thought photographers had gathered outside her home<\/p>\n

The Harry Potter star, 36, was convinced her family home had become a target for photographers trying to snap her picture when she saw a group of people standing outside armed with cameras and long lenses – but Emma soon found out they were just trying to capture images of a rare bird and weren’t interested in her at all.<\/p>\n

During a speech at the United for Wildlife Business Forum in London hosted by Prince William<\/a>‘s The Royal Foundation, Emma explained: “I was in my living room and I saw all these men outside with very long lenses. And I thought: ‘Urgh today’s the day it’s happened. My goodness’.<\/p>\n

“So she [my mother] went outside to address them and their long lenses and I snuck out to go the other way. And it turned out the men with the long lenses were actually not there for me at all. <\/p>\n

“They were there for a very, very rare bird, which is called a red kite. And they were trying to basically break into my back garden because they thought that one of these red kites was in our backyard.”<\/p>\n

\nEmma went on to reveal she let the group of birdwatchers into the garden so they could attempt to photograph the rare bird.<\/p>\n

\nShe added: “Conservationists have managed to bring them [red kites] back.”<\/p>\n

\nThe event was held on behalf of the Royal Foundation\u2019s United for Wildlife program and the Prince of Wales also made a speech in which he urged global business leaders to do more to help the environment.<\/p>\n

\nHe said: “You have the power to influence, your voice matters in your business, your direction matters and here more than anything, your leadership matters.<\/p>\n

\n“Many of you can be more ambitious and courageous in what you do for the planet and for the environment.<\/p>\n

\n“Be the leader you wanted to be when you were growing up, not the one you are in the business right now. Touch into what you were when you were a child and what you wanted to see the world, and bring those values to light as a CEO.<\/p>\n

\n“More specifically, technology and innovation, we are seeing such a change in that, please embrace that for good.”<\/p>\n
