90 Day Fianc\u00e9<\/i><\/a><\/span> star Sumit Singh<\/strong> is asking for the public\u2019s financial support as his wife, Jenny Slatten<\/strong>, continues to battle ALS<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cJenny wants to give her health updates and wants to thank everyone [for] coming forward to support,\u201d Sumit, 38, wrote via Instagram<\/span><\/a> on Monday, June 22. \u201cIf you wanna support this journey, you can book a cameo or donate or if you want me to do something for you in exchange of money, let me know. Soon after, the TLC reality star explained why he was asking strangers for money as his wife continues to experience symptoms of ALS.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m trying to make her life as easy as possible,\u201d he explained via an Instagram video<\/span><\/a>. \u201cJenny can\u2019t travel by herself and it\u2019s not easy to travel for that long. It\u2019s also not easy for me to get a Visa. I\u2019m not at that point where I could choose whether I want to travel or not.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also called Lou Gehrig\u2019s disease, is a terminal neurodegenerative disorder. The disease causes the individual to gradually lose control of their muscles, beginning gradually with muscle stiffness or [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Jenny \u2014 who has three daughters with ex-husband Ralph Edwards<\/strong> \u2014 interjected and reminded fans and followers that she doesn\u2019t have insurance in India.<\/p>\n

The couple said they don\u2019t want to commit to traveling from India to the United States unless \u201ca better solution\u201d is guaranteed.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s going to take a lot of money to travel there,\u201d Sumit explained. \u201cI\u2019m here to make sure Jenny is doing well or whenever she needs me, I try to be available. \u2026 Whatever she needs, I want to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked to explain why Jenny, 68, isn\u2019t staying with her daughters, Sumit claimed that her children \u201chave their own family and their own lives.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jenny added, \u201cI don\u2019t want to be a burden.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the comments section, one of Jenny\u2019s daughters wrote, \u201cMom, please know you are never a burden. I would love to have you here and that\u2019s what us children are for but I know you won\u2019t be happy and you want to be with your husband, I get it 100% but I just wanted you to know don\u2019t ever think you would be a burden in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last month, Jenny revealed her ALS diagnosis for the first time via social media. At the time, the reality star told fans that she was \u201copen to any kind of help,\u201d including \u201ctreatments, clinical trials, lifestyle changes or anything that could help treat this disease or slow down its progression.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the Mayo Clinic<\/span><\/a>, ALS is a nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. The disease leads to muscle weakness and other symptoms that could get worse over time. Although there is no cure for the disease, research into new therapies is ongoing.<\/p>\n

\u201cMoney will not heal, but it will support and make life easier,\u201d Sumit shared in his latest Instagram video. \u201cWe never asked for money. We\u2019ve struggled a lot many times but we\u2019ve never asked and we need it now. That\u2019s why we\u2019re asking.\u201d<\/p>\n
