Jason Biggs and Jenny Mollen recently announced their split<\/p>\n
The 47-year-old actress separated from Jason, 48 – who is best-known for his role in the American Pie film franchise – earlier this year, after 18 years of marriage, and Jenny admits that she’s still adjusting to her new reality.<\/p>\n
During an appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Jenny reflected: “It’s surreal, yeah, I feel like it’s really bizarre.”<\/p>\n
The actress – who has Sid, 12, and Lazlo, eight, with Jason – acknowledged that splitting from a co-parent is a particularly complicated process, and unlike anything she’s previously experienced.<\/p>\n
She said: “People will be like, \u2018How does it feel?’ And I’m like, \u2018I don’t know, the same?’<\/p>\n
\n“We live in two different places, but we’re still tethered. We have kids. We still talk 18 times a day about everyone’s schedule and after school and holidays … So it isn’t a normal breakup where you’re like, \u2018See ya!’ and then maybe we’ll bump into each other in 10 years and talk about it. It’s not like that.”<\/p>\n
\nJenny also claimed that there’s still a romantic element to their relationship, despite their separation.<\/p>\n
\nThe actress said: “It’s still romantic. We still love each other. It’s just not, I don’t know. It’s a different type of romance. It’s, like, your best friend.”<\/p>\n
\nJenny also revealed that they’ve remained close over recent months.<\/p>\n
\nThe actress said: “We love each other, and it is a solid relationship. We have always been amazing co-parents and teammates.”<\/p>\n
\nJenny admitted to being surprised by how strongly other people have reacted to their break-up.<\/p>\n
\nThe actress explained that she’s been helping other people to cope with their shock and grief caused by the split.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “It’s not like a death where people just write you, like, \u2018I’m so sorry. Do you need anything?’ <\/p>\n
\n“It’s more like somebody’s attending your wedding, and you have to take care of everybody else. You’re like, \u2018Are you OK? Can I get you a drink?’ People are like, \u2018I don’t know how to feel! I’m so sad.’ And I’m just writing, \u2018I don’t know you. I’m so sorry.’ I’m sorry for your loss. I’m so deeply sorry.”<\/p>\n
