\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Daveigh Chase<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s mom is speaking out following the death of the former child star.<\/p>\n If you did not see the tragic news, the 35-year-old The Ring<\/em> actress passed away this week at the age of 35<\/a> after battling meningitis, which led to septic issues. A man who identified himself as her boyfriend, whose name is Roy Hernandez<\/strong>, launched a GoFundMe amid this news.<\/a><\/p>\n In a new interview with The Daily Mail<\/a><\/em> published on Friday (June 19), Daveigh<\/strong>\u2018s mom Cathy Chase<\/strong> reacted to the devastating news.<\/p>\n \u201cI was devastated. It felt like something inside of me squeezing all of the air out of me, and at the same time, It felt like I was exploding outwardly,\u201d Cathy<\/strong> shared. \u201cI let out this guttural scream and I just was running, and these weird sounds were coming out of me, like, primeval sounds. I went out into the backyard, and I was screaming, \u201cNo, no, no, no!\u201d I am in so much pain but I hope her soul heard me.\u201d<\/p>\n Cathy<\/strong> \u2013 who claimed that the last time she saw Daveigh<\/strong> was in October 2019 \u2013 said that she found out about her daughter\u2019s passing through the media after years of questioning her health and well-being. <\/p>\n \u201cI would just put her name in the coroner\u2019s [search system] and see if her name came up and if somebody had her somewhere,\u201d Cathy<\/strong> recalled. \u201cI would look at their list of unidentified bodies. It was very difficult, but you do everything you can as a mother.\u201d<\/p>\n According to Cathy<\/strong>, Daveigh<\/strong> allegedly struggled with substance abuse issues after injuring her back in a 2016 motorcycle accident.<\/p>\n \u201cShe was seeking drugs and was partying with the wrong people,\u201d Cathy <\/strong>claimed. \u201cI never kicked my daughter out. She wanted freedom and these people got her hooked on some drugs. That was the beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n Her mother continued, \u201cShe was completely gone, like, out of her mind. I honestly thought there was something wrong with her. My daughter was never diagnosed with mental health other than PTSD, but the drugs took hold of her.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201c[The hospital chaplain and I] were able to lay hands and pray,\u201d Cathy <\/strong>shared. \u201cTechnically, we were touching the glass, but it\u2019s as close as we could get, so we were able to lay hands and pray for her.
