\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Daryl Sabara<\/strong><\/a> has announced that his estranged father, Roland Sabara<\/strong>, has passed away.<\/p>\n On Friday (June 19), the 34-year-old Spy Kids <\/em>actor took to Instagram<\/a> to share a short and touching tribute to his late dad.<\/p>\n \u201cMy Dad, Roland Sabara, passed away last night,\u201d Daryl<\/strong> wrote along with a selfie with Roland<\/strong>. \u201cWe only saw each other a couple of times, and I will cherish those memories forever.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI know he did the best he could, and I know he\u2019s in a better place now,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n In an interview with Mr Feel Good<\/a><\/em> in June 2023, Daryl<\/strong> explained how his childhood experience and absent father affected the approach he took to parenting. He shares three children \u2013 sons Riley<\/strong>, 5, and Barry<\/strong>, 2, and daughter Mikey<\/strong>, who was born in January 2026 \u2013 with wife Meghan Trainor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cI grew up without a dad \u2014 he left when I was one,\u201d Daryl <\/strong>said. \u201cSo I didn\u2019t have that traditional role model growing up and for me, especially as I\u2019m about to be a dad of two boys, I feel like that was a blessing in some ways. I am able to create what that relationship is for me and my sons.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cMy mom was basically my mom and dad, and she did the best she could,\u201d he continued. \u201cBut what I\u2019m learning in my 30s, in therapy and doing my own healing, is that our parents subconsciously imprint onto us.
