Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a> has unveiled the $400 million jet that is becoming the new Air Force One<\/em><\/strong>. <\/p>\n

The 80-year-old President of the United States revealed the new luxury Boeing 747 plane during an appearance at Joint Base Andrews on Friday (June 19) near Washington, D.C. <\/p>\n

The plane was a gift from the Qatari government. While Qatar paid for the $400 million plane, the U.S. government will reportedly foot the bill for all the upgrades it needs, which could cost $1 billion, according to NBC News<\/a>. <\/p>\n

After Trump<\/strong> was criticized for accepting the gift from Qatar, he responded on Truth Social last year. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhy should our military, and therefore our taxpayers, be forced to pay hundreds of millions of Dollars when they can get it for FREE from a country that wants to reward us for a job well done,\u201d he said. \u201cOnly a FOOL would not accept this gift on behalf of our Country.\u201d<\/p>\n

While unveiling the plane, he told <\/a>the crowd, \u201cEverything was designed good. It was my taste, I will say. I like the color of the American flag, right? That makes sense.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump<\/strong> was asked about plans for the old planes used for Air Force One. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll get them fixed up a little bit, not like this one, and we\u2019ll do museums,\u201d he said. \u201cThey\u2019re great planes, they\u2019re great history.\u201d<\/p>\n
