I Love You<\/em>.<\/p>\n Watch With Us<\/a> also recommends a more serious comedy, Drinking Buddies<\/em>, starring Olivia Wilde<\/strong><\/a> and Anna Kendrick<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n And for fans of totally f***ed up stories, take a look at Flowers in the Attic<\/em> \u2013 you\u2019ll never look at a doughnut or a pair of blond siblings the same way ever again.<\/p>\n We\u2019ll never get a Sleepless in Seattle 2<\/em>, so you\u2019ll just have to settle for Voicemails for Isabelle<\/em>, a rom-com with a similar premise about two strangers who fall in love. Jill (Zoey Deutch<\/strong><\/a>) is a San Francisco pastry chef who still leaves voicemails for her deceased younger sister, Isabelle (Ciara Bravo<\/strong>). Jill isn\u2019t aware that her sister\u2019s phone number has been reassigned to Wes (Nick Robinson<\/strong>), who can\u2019t help but be charmed by her comedic quest for the perfect taco or her serious confessions about feeling lonely in a big city. Wes soon realizes he\u2019s in love with Jill, but how can he convey his feelings for someone he\u2019s never even met?<\/p>\n Voicemails for Isabelle<\/em> has a silly premise, and it walks a fine line between cutesy rom-com and cheaply exploitative melodrama. Isabelle is, after all, dead, and Jill\u2019s grief for her is real. But the film avoids giving you the ick because its two leads make it work. Even though they rarely share the screen, they manage to have convincing chemistry with each other, and you root for them to be together.
