19 June 2026<\/time>\n <\/p>\nSupergirl star Milly Alcock says her tattoos help \u201cground\u201d her. <\/p>\n <\/p>\nMilly Alcock talks ‘grounding’ tattoos<\/p>\n\nThe 26-year-old Australian actress has a whopping 20 inkings, despite her young age, and explained during an interview on YouTube show Last Meals that there\u2019s a reason she has so many.<\/p>\n\nAs host Josh Scherer remarked that she has a \u201cfair amount of tattoos\u201d, Milly revealed she actually has 20.<\/p>\n\nJosh replied: \u201cYou have 20 tattoos? Hell yeah!\u201d<\/p>\n\nDespite the fact that many screen stars avoid having etchings because of how they age, or how difficult it is to cover them up for movies or TV shows, Milly has a reason she has so many. <\/p>\n\nShe explained: \u201cBeing an actor, my body is my tool. But also my body’s in service of other people and a character and whoever I need to be.<\/p>\n\n\u201cThere’s something very grounding about at the end of the day, taking it all off, and it’s my skin, you know? It’s personalised to me.\u201d<\/p>\n\nMilly also admitted tattoos are \u201calso just really addictive\u201d. <\/p>\n\nShe giggled: \u201cI want to get another one!\u201d<\/p>\n\nJosh then asked \u201cwhat are you doing after this?\u201d to which Milly joked: \u201cGetting another tattoo!\u201d<\/p>\n\nMilly has made a name for herself in TV shows House of Dragon and Sirens, but Supergirl is the first movie in which she\u2019s landed the lead role. <\/p>\n\nWhile it was daunting to take on the part, Milly gave herself a strict talking to when she considered passing on it.<\/p>\n\nShe told Variety recently: \u201cI looked at myself in the mirror, and I was like, \u2018Who am I to turn down this opportunity?\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\u201cI knew that it was what I needed to do, because it scared me. And I thought, \u2018Well, I get one big, bad, beautiful life. Why not f****** go for it?\u2019<\/p>\n\n\u201cJust f****** go for it! What are you, scared? Get over yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n\nMilly has also had to deal with some unpleasant criticism from trolls, many of them male, since taking on the Supergirl role. <\/p>\n\nHowever, she\u2019s learned to ignore the comments as best she can. <\/p>\n\nShe told Vanity Fair: \u201cI guess women know that this is just how it\u2019s always been, unfortunately. <\/p>\n\n\u201cAnd it\u2019s from a lot of people whose profiles have no photo, who are burner accounts. Or someone\u2019s name and then \u2018Dad of four, Christian,\u2019 which is hilarious to me. But I mean, whose opinion do you really care about?
