\u201cIt is a story to instill responsibility in everyone to advocate and speak up against abuse, injustice, and the exploitation of children,\u201d he emphasized.<\/p>\n
\u201cI not only poured my heart into this book for my younger self,\u201d he wrote, \u201cbut for ALL who have faced unfair and outright heinous acts as children.\u201d<\/p>\n
Collin affirmed: \u201cI am your voice. I stand with you.\u201d<\/p>\n
He also had words to share about Colleen Conrad, the woman who was his father\u2019s partner for years \u2014 including when he was finally freed from the institution to which Kate had condemned him.<\/p>\n
\u201cI didn\u2019t plan this at all,\u201d Collin wrote in a follow-up post. \u201cBut coincidentally on the day of the official announcement of my book, it is Colleen\u2019s birthday.\u201d<\/p>\n
He praised: \u201cShe is the strongest woman I know, who stepped in at the toughest part of my life and CHOSE to be a mother to me.\u201d<\/p>\n
Collin continued: \u201cHappy birthday to my wonderful, hardworking, passionate, and I could go on\u2026 to my real mom.\u201d<\/p>\n
He gushed: \u201cI love you so much.\u201d<\/p>\n
Colleen was at Collin\u2019s graduation, even after her split from Jon. \u201cThe love you feel for a mom you were given is incredible. But the love you feel for a mom that CHOSE you is something so powerful,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n
Collin wrote: \u201cI am so fortunate @colleen.conrad122 I love you so much.\u201d<\/p>\n
Colleen herself commented: \u201cThis made me cry and yes I would sing it you, Jesse, and Jordan!\u201d This was in reference to Rascal Flats.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat is my wish!\u201d Colleen gushed. \u201cI\u2019ll always be here for you and you are my son. Okay, that\u2019s a few months premature, but you get the idea. <\/p>\n
\u201cHis story is finally becoming a reality and I am so incredibly proud of him for all the hard work that he put into this and having the courage to write it,\u201d Colleen praised.<\/p>\n
She boosted: \u201cAny one that would like like to read what he went through pre-orders<\/a> are available.\u201d<\/p>\nIt\u2019s wonderful that Collin found actual love and emotional support after his childhood. And it\u2019s great that he\u2019s able to tell his story.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
