Kate Gosselin<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s son Collin Gosselin<\/strong><\/a> praised his dad Jon Gosselin<\/strong>\u2019s ex Colleen Conrad<\/strong> for being a mother figure in his life after announcing his upcoming book.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t plan this at all, but coincidentally on the day of the official announcement of my book, it is Colleen\u2019s birthday,\u201d Collin, 21, wrote via Instagram<\/a> on Wednesday, June 17, alongside a photo of him and Conrad. \u201cShe is the strongest woman I know, who stepped in at the toughest part of my life and CHOSE to be a mother to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star continued, \u201cHappy birthday to my wonderful, hardworking, passionate, and I could go on\u2026 to my real mom \u2764\ufe0f I love you so much. Also I had to add a Rascal Flatts song, because we always sing Rascal Flatts songs together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Collin added an additional message for Conrad in the post\u2019s comments section.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tCollin Gosselin appeared to shade his mom, Kate Gosselin, in a Mother\u2019s Day post praising his dad Jon Gosselin\u2018s girlfriend, Colleen Conrad. \u201cTurns out today is Mother\u2019s Day, today we pay love forward to our mothers, but I don\u2019t think mother can describe all the things Colleen has done for me,\u201d wrote Collin, who turned [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThe love you feel for a mom you were given is incredible,\u201d he reflected. \u201cBut the love you feel for a mom that CHOSE you is something so powerful. I am so fortunate \u2764\ufe0f @colleen.conrad122 I love you so much \ud83e\udef6\ud83c\udffc.\u201d<\/p>\n

Conrad responded to Collin\u2019s sweet tribute with a touching response.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis made me cry and yes I would sing it you, Jesse and Jordan! That is my wish!\u201d she wrote. \u201cI\u2019ll always be here for you and you are my son. I love you!\u201d<\/p>\n

Conrad came into Collin\u2019s life five years after his parents split in 2009. Kate, 51, and Jon, 49, who wed in 1999, share eight children, including Collin. Jon and Conrad started dating in 2014 but split in 2021. The pair have remained friends since their breakup and Jon was by Conrad\u2019s side amid her breast cancer battle.<\/p>\n

While Collin has had a strong bond with Conrad over the years, his connection to Kate<\/a> has been tumultuous, previously accusing his mom of abuse. Kate, for her part, has claimed that Collin had exhibited \u201cunpredictable and violent behaviors\u201d and allegedly received multiple psychiatric diagnoses over the years. Collin and Kate are currently estranged<\/a>.<\/p>\n
