Orlando Bloom<\/a>, and Katy has now opened up about their romance, explaining how Justin has changed her life.<\/p>\nDuring an appearance on the Unfamous podcast, Katy shared: “I have love in my life now. That\u2019s transformed me.<\/p>\n
“You think when The Beatles say, \u2018All you need is love,\u2019 it\u2019s a clich\u00e9? Clich\u00e9s are clich\u00e9s for a reason \u2026 it\u2019s like you don\u2019t know until you have your baby how beautiful that experience is and how it transforms you.”<\/p>\n
Katy admitted that her split from Orlando, her former fiance, hit her really hard. However, Katy feels she’s learned some valuable lessons from her own heartache.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “I don\u2019t typically feel like a victim \u2014 you can hear it in my songs [that] I don\u2019t resonate with that \u2014 but last year was pretty tough.<\/p>\n
\n“It would have been easy for me to fall into that weird victim triangle. So, instead of falling into \u2018woe is me,\u2019 I was just like, \u2018Let\u2019s just feel this f****** pain, let\u2019s feel this anger and let\u2019s move on. Let\u2019s learn from it also. Let\u2019s get some feedback from it.\u2019”<\/p>\n
\nKaty has now come to terms with her break-up from Orlando, and she’s subsequently adjusted her own boundaries.<\/p>\n
\nThe chart-topping star explained: “You know what it is? It\u2019s really boundaries [of] boundaries within yourself, and then when to boil it even further down, it\u2019s just self-respect. It\u2019s just love for yourself.<\/p>\n
\n“If you don\u2019t have boundaries, you may need to look at that \u2026 or peel yourself out of it. That\u2019s what I\u2019ve been doing is peeling myself out of all the conditioning.”<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, a source previously admitted that Katy was caught off-guard by her romance with Justin.<\/p>\n
\nThe insider told Us Weekly: “After her split from Orlando, Katy really wasn\u2019t expecting to jump into another relationship anytime soon, but Justin completely caught her by surprise. He came into her life at the right time, and they have developed a really strong connection.<\/p>\n
\n“Their relationship has deepened over the past several months \u2026 [and] they both feel it\u2019s important to blend their families thoughtfully and at a comfortable pace.”<\/p>\n
