Atomic Kitten<\/a> singer has opened up on her ongoing health struggles, and admitted her “body has just completely shut down” recently as she tries to manage her condition.<\/p>\nShe wrote in her latest column for new! magazine: “I’ll be honest, I’m still feeling pretty crap at the moment.<\/p>\n
“I live with chronic pain and have for years now but there’s been more than one occasion recently where my body has just completely shut down, I’ve not been able to move.”<\/p>\n
The 45-year-old star acknowledged that she’s been “overdoing it” lately, but she’s still scared by the way her body is coping.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: “I knew I’m overdoing it and not making enough time for myself, but it’s still been really scary and sobering to think how fragile our bodies are.”<\/p>\n
\nKerry noted that she is waiting on test results after underdoing “a full health MOT”, while she also wants to use her platform to help others.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “I filmed my smear test at Pall Mall Medical, not because I had to, but because I think it’s such an important thing to raise awareness of.<\/p>\n
\n“I’ve also been getting my twisted spine seen to by the wonderful Cheshire Osteopath, John Corfield.”<\/p>\n
\nKerry was rushed to hospital in April after experiencing stroke-like symptoms, but doctors later identified a neurological issue linked to stress affecting signals to her face.<\/p>\n
\nLast week, she wrote: “I\u2019ve just booked myself a full body MOT with my friends at Pall Mall Medical, as I\u2019m not feeling 100 per cent right now.<\/p>\n
\n“My speech still isn\u2019t quite right and I\u2019m exhausted.”<\/p>\n
\nKerry – who has daughter Molly, 25, and Lilly-Sue McFadden, 23, with her ex Brian McFadden; daughter Heidi, 19, and son Maxwell, 18, with ex Mark Croft; and daughter Dylan-Jorge, 12, with her late ex-husband, George Kay – admitted she doesn’t “look after [herself] properly”.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: “The problem is, I never put myself first. I\u2019m either on tour, or something\u2019s happening with the kids that needs attention.<\/p>\n
\n“I know I don\u2019t look after myself properly, so I\u2019m getting my bloods done, a smear test, stool sample, the full works. <\/p>\n
\n“I take a lot of vitamins, thanks to the wonderful Dr Andre from the Oxford Natural Clinic, but while you can always look amazing on the outside, it\u2019s what\u2019s inside that\u2019s important.”<\/p>\n
