Joan Cusack<\/strong><\/a> is back on the red carpet with her family!<\/p>\n

The 63-year-old Emmy-winning actress made a rare public appearance at the premiere of her new Disney-Pixar movie Toy Story 5<\/strong><\/a><\/em> on Tuesday (June 9) held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Joining Joan<\/strong> at the premiere was her husband Richard Burke<\/strong> and their two sons Dylan<\/strong> and Miles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If you didn\u2019t know, Toy Story 5<\/em> marks Joan<\/strong>\u2018s marks her return to acting in six years. She is once again reprising her voice role as Jessie.<\/p>\n

Just a few weeks ago, she made her first red carpet appearance in 11 years<\/a> at the movie\u2019s London premiere.<\/p>\n

While speaking to Variety<\/a><\/em> on the red carpet at the L.A. premiere, Joan<\/strong> explained why she took a six-year break from acting.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel so honored to be able to work in this industry for a long time, but it\u2019s also great to live your life and raise your kids and be in Chicago and be a normal person,\u201d the Oscar-nominated actress said. \u201cIt\u2019s kind of priceless.\u201d<\/p>\n

If you didn\u2019t know, Joan<\/strong> has owned and operated a gift shop, called Judy Maxwell Home, in her native Chicago since 2014.<\/p>\n

Also in the interview, Joan<\/strong> admitted that she never thought she would still be voice Jessie after she first appeared in 1999\u2019s Toy Story 2<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just thought they cast me because they thought it was gonna be funny to have a cowgirl with the Chicago accent,\u201d Joan<\/strong> said. \u201cI\u2019d have a couple of lines be in a couple of scenes, and that would be it.\u201d<\/p>\n
