Jimmy Kimmel<\/strong><\/a> used his latest late-night monologue to poke holes in President Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s theory that Spencer Pratt<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s Los Angeles mayoral race<\/a> was rigged.<\/p>\n

\u201cSomehow, the Dumb-ocrats rigged the ballots, but only parts that voted for mayor,\u201d Kimmel, 58, joked on Jimmy Kimmel Live!<\/em><\/a> on Wednesday, June 10.<\/p>\n

Kimmel openly mocked a conspiracy theory that Trump, 79, shared during an Oval Office press conference to explain why Pratt, 42, failed to advance past the June 2 primary. On Monday, June 8, it was determined that L.A. City Councilwoman Nithya Raman<\/strong> will move forward to challenge Mayor Karen Bass<\/strong> in November\u2019s general election<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Under the California electoral system, a runoff between the top two vote-getters is held unless a single candidate finishes with more than 50 percent of the vote in the primary. In the L.A. mayoral primary, Bass, 72, finished in first place with 34.30 percent, with Raman, 44, in second place with 29 percent and Pratt trailing in third with 25.52 percent, per L.A. Vote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kimmel pointed out that Trump\u2019s theory that the race was rigged against Pratt made little sense because the mayoral primary vote appeared on the same ballot as the California\u2019s governor\u2019s race. In the gubernatorial primary, Trump-endorsed Republican candidate Steve Hilton<\/strong> advanced to face Democrat Xavier Becerra<\/strong> in November\u2019s runoff.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday\u2019s Jimmy Kimmel Live!<\/em><\/a>, the host played a clip of Trump\u2019s complaints during a recent Oval Office press conference.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only reason [Hilton, 56] got approved, he got all the votes he needed, probably to be first place,\u201d Trump argued. \u201cThe only reason they approved Steve Hilton \u2026 because the heat was on them. They\u2019re cheating dogs.\u201d<\/p>\n

As his studio audience laughed, Kimmel tried to make sense of the theory, \u201cWow, that is remarkable \u2026 The votes for governor, they left untouched! It\u2019s diabolical! It\u2019s a miracle that people that are so incredibly stupid can be so incredibly smart at the same time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIn a sane world, that statement [from Trump] would have been the moment where the nurse came in and put him to bed,\u201d Kimmel quipped. \u201cBut that\u2019s not the world we live in!\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Kimmel zinged Pratt<\/a> over his previous vow to leave Los Angeles unless he won the mayoral election.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Pratt] said he was done with L.A., and Spencer, if you\u2019re watching, we are so, so sorry to see you go,\u201d the comedian told viewers on Tuesday, June 9. \u201cWe do know we\u2019re going to miss the hell out of you. You\u2019re a man of your word and you\u2019ve got to go. You said you were going to go and I know things might be tight right now, especially out-of-state donation money is running out.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then offered, \u201cMoving is expensive, so, to help you out, we rented you a U-Haul. It has plenty of room. It\u2019s got two beds, tables, chairs, all your crystals, whatever you want. Our staff spent the whole day decorating for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pratt clapped back via X<\/a> on Wednesday by sharing footage of the wreckage of his former home, which burned down in the 2025 Palisades Fire.<\/p>\n
