Bryan Cranston<\/a> for Variety\u2019s Actors on Actors series.<\/p>\nRhea and Graham have been together since 2013 and became engaged in 2015, but the actress said plans for a wedding have repeatedly stalled. <\/p>\n
During the actress\u2019 new interview, Bryan observed what he believed the pair had in common.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cWe’re both happily married.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nRhea initially agreed \u2013\u00a0before clarifying the status of her own relationship.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cYes. We’ve been engaged for 11 years and together for 13.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nBryan, who has been married to actress Robin Dearden since 1989, responded with a joke.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cSo you\u2019re not quite sure if it\u2019s gonna happen?\u201d<\/p>\n
\nRhea replied: \u201cWe\u2019re sort of just working it out.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe then explained the real reason behind the delay.<\/p>\n
\nRhea said: \u201cNo, it\u2019s literally the planning gives me hives.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHer interview with Bryan reunited the two actors closely associated with the Breaking Bad universe created by Vince Gilligan. <\/p>\n
\nBryan famously portrayed Walter White throughout Breaking Bad\u2019s five-season run between 2008 and 2013, while Rhea earned widespread acclaim for her portrayal of lawyer Kim Wexler in the show\u2019s spin-off Better Call Saul from 2015 to 2022. <\/p>\n
\nMore recently, Rhea has been promoting Pluribus, the latest project from Vince, which has generated huge interest among fans following the conclusion of the Breaking Bad franchise.<\/p>\n
\nRhea and Graham first met in 2013 after being introduced on a coffee date arranged by Graham\u2019s former wife, fashion designer Mary Alice Haney. <\/p>\n
\nThe couple became engaged roughly two years later.<\/p>\n
\nBryan returned to the subject during the conversation, saying he found it \u201cfunny\u201d the couple had remained engaged for so long.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cSo what’s holding that up? What’s the \u2013 it\u2019s like, \u2018Do we really need to do this? Do we need a paper\u2026\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nRhea explained she still wants a wedding, although not an elaborate one.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cNo, I mean I do. He\u2019s been married before, so he doesn\u2019t need a big wedding. I would just like a small celebration though, like with friends.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe actress added she hopes to be surrounded by people who \u201cmean something\u201d to her when the day eventually arrives, including many colleagues she has worked alongside throughout her career.<\/p>\n
\nShe specifically mentioned Vince, the creator of Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul and Pluribus, before joking about the real obstacle to setting a date.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cMostly just Vince Gilligan is the problem. I\u2019m just waiting on his schedule. It\u2019s all that I\u2019m waiting on.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nRhea has previously spoken about her and her partner\u2019s differing perspectives on weddings. <\/p>\n
\nAppearing on the Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson podcast in 2022, she explained Graham had already experienced a large-scale ceremony.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cHe had a huge, gorgeous wedding that was so beautiful and lovely that InStyle magazine had to cover it. He loved it, but has no desire to do that all over again.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe added: \u201cBut I have not been married, so he’s willing to do whatever I want… I don\u2019t want a giant wedding, but I don\u2019t want just justice of the peace, either.\u201d<\/p>\n
